Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

All our homes have an inverter-type air conditioning (can heat or cool).

The hand-over of the keys on your arrival, and their return on your departure, are by appointment since the owner does not live on-site. If you expect to be late, please inform us immediately by phone so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Arrivals are normally at 17:00 (5pm) on Saturday and departures at 10:00 (10am). Access road maps are available on the Region page.

Upon request, we will paper-mail you a Rental Agreement (contract), or we will e-mail it to you in PDF format. Should you wish to book, just return two signed paper copies of the contract, or a signed scanned PDF, along with 25% of the rent for the desired period.

At the end of your stay, please make sure that the house is left in the same state of cleanliness and order as when you arrived. If more cleaning is needed, we will have to charge your deposit for it. 

We can also take care of the final cleaning for an additional price: this service should be booked in advance for us to make arrangements. 

If you would like us to clean the house during your stay, please see with us beforehand. 

For stays in season and high season, the final cleaning service is not included and compulsory.

As stated in the Rental Agreement, tenants should check with their insurance company before departure that they are covered for any risks associated with vacation rentals. If necessary, you will have to take out a specific insurance policy for those risks. The owner must be provided with any valid proof that such a coverage exists.

Wireless internet access (wifi) is available in all houses. Costs are included in your rental.

The rent does not include the provision or cleaning of linen. If you bring your linen with you, you will need square pillowcases and sheets (see the description of the houses for bed sizes), as well as towels. 

We can also provide linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels) for an additional price. This should be booked in advance.

We believe that bedding hygiene is essential.  If you wish to bring your own bedding linen, we specifically ask you to bring full sets of sheets with square pillowcases.  It is strictly forbidden to use sleeping bags, or to sleep directly on bed covers or mattresses.

La Ferme de Louise and Le Fournil de Rémus are situated between Périgord Pourpre and Agenais, about 15min driving from the Dordogne valley, on the famous Circuit des Bastides.

The houses can be rented year-round.

We are sorry, but pets (dog, cat, etc.) are not allowed in our properties.

Fully private swimming pools, reserved for your use, are available in all homes. 

Swimming pools are open in season.

The rates are per week, from Saturday 17:00 (5pm) to the following Saturday 10:00 (10am). 

Weekend rentals are possible off-season or in mid-season.

Prices include all costs, including electricity up to 60kWh per week. 

A tourist tax (0.80€/pers/day) must be paid to the municipal council; it will be charged to you upon your arrival.

Both of our houses have a TV receiver with satellite dishes which provide many channels (some of them international).
